Thank God for the compass on my rear view mirror. It somehow got me home yesterday after the Super Bowl party. Thank God for reminding me early on in the night to set my alarm on my phone so that I could wake up for work today. Thank God I had a Red Bull in the fridge because something other than beer is good. Thank God I had food early on in the day at Sherlock's playing pool with the boys cause I sure don't eat Hooter's wings. Thank God for the Super Bowl. Cause I sure had a hell of a time!

Totally didn't go see the midnight showing of Monty Python & The Holy Grail. Sorry kimberinthecity! I hope it was awesome. Instead, I went out with a boy for the first time. His name is Lee, he is hispanic and 30. We'd emailed each other for about two weeks and then he asked if he could call me. I'm not really a phone person, but I agreed. Why did we talk for 4 hours Friday night? Yup. 4 hours. He asked me if I wanted to grab a bite to eat on Sat and I agreed. He wasn't sure about the time and said he'd call. I thought we would have like lunch or something. Dinner, 7pm, Asian Mint. This place is a bit on the trendy side for me. Totally minimalist, small tables, close proximity to others. And the food wasn't good. For me it was just ok. He didn't like his at all and didn't eat. Dessert was good, tho. After that we went to the movies. There was an hour and a half time between the movie that we both really wanted to see. Damn! That messes me up for the midnight movie. The dilemma. We were having fun so we decided to find something to do to kill the time. We literally drove around and he was showing me things of interest. He ended up showing me the Dart Rail that I hadn't seen. The town square, some restaurants that he recommended. It was cool.

So I had a really good time. If I liked him as a boy it would have been a perfect first date. Thing is, I couldn't date him. I dig him as a friend tho. And I totally got the impression it was the same for him. So I don't feel bad. Why couldn't I? He's interesting, attractive, funny, can carry conversation, and fun. But the guy doesn't drink, doesn't smoke, doesn't eat chocolate because it has caffeine and he doesn't put any kind of 'stimulant' into his body. He drinks only water. He "has a strong disdain" (his words) for pot and people who smoke it. He doesn't eat red meat. Doesn't like to do cultural things like going to see a play or the museum. Totally my new buddy I think, but not a dating thing. I had fun tho and he's a cool cat. Ok, I don't know where that came from. lol

I'm actually going to a Super Bowl party. A nice big one, too. It's at some guy's business. Open bar, Hooter's wings served by Hooter's Girls, bbq, 82 inch projection game. I hope I have fun. Got invited by a guy I met and thought, WTF not. So I'm going. Funny, this guy and I were sitting next to each other eating at the bar and we ended up hanging out for like 3 hours. lol. How do I meet these people? I guess I'm just as weird.
